Investors

There are so many reasons to invest in real estate — and they’ve all been gone over in detail in several excellent resources, so I won’t blather too much about that.  For me personally, the main draw of real estate investing is that 1) it makes sense to me — that is, I can get my head around it without too many contortions — and 2) I think it’s exciting!  That’s it.  Really scientific, huh?

There are almost as many ways to (successfully or less successfully) invest in real estate as there are investors who do it.  For my own personal goals, the best strategy has been to buy residential properties at a reasonable price (making sure that the rents for that kind of property in that area will be high enough to cover the mortgage payment, upkeep costs, and other costs)  and then hold them over the long term.  I can certainly help you with other strategies, but buy-well-and-hold is the one I’m most familiar with because I’ve done it for myself.

If you’re interested in starting or building a real estate investment portfolio, please contact me.  I can give you a run-down of what all’s involved in investing in real estate, and guide you through the entire process from evaluating your goals and selecting (and, obviously, acquiring) a property, to working with a property manager to get and keep it rented (I’m a BIG advocate of using property managers, because I’m way too nice to be a landlord.  I prefer to say “nice” rather than “wimpy”, but … Let’s put it this way: in order to meet my investment goals, I’ve got to have that distance from my tenants.).

I look forward to hearing from you!
